Excellent for most textile finishing and slasher rolls.Nitrile offers good chemical, water and abrasion resistance with a durometer of 15 to bone-hard.
EPDM
Ethylene propylene is outstanding when it comes to excellent abrasion and ozone resistance. It’s very desirable characteristic is that it can be safely used with ketones,alcohols,glycols and most alkalies. The polymeric chain of EPDM is chemically saturated so that it is not affected by steam. Ethylene propylene is available in durometers of 25 to 85 shore A.
Natural Rubber
Whenever you need high strength, abrasion resistance and superior resilience,natural rubber is the choice. This compound has durometers of 40 A to bone-hard. Although natural rubber has poor heat aging characteristics, it is excellent for paper making and textiles.
SBR
Characteristics of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) are;excellent abrasion resitance accompanied by high tearstrength and resistance to weak acids and alchohols. The maximum continuous tempretature is 110°C. the compound can be applied to pully coverings and hold down rolls used in non-organic solvent applications. The available durometre hardness are 40 to 95 shore A.
Hypalon
A chlorosulfanated polythene is recommended for picking lines using oxidizing acids, laminating rolls up to 150°C and polythene corona treatment rolls. It was developed for superior resistance to abrasion, ozone and chemicals especially oxidizing acids. Hypalon coverings are available in hardness of 5 to 95 shore A.
Silicon
Silicon deserves careful consideration and evaluation because of it’s excellent release, fair abrasion and cut resistant properties. It was specially designed where high release characteristics are desired to 204 °C. Silicon assures quality laminating, plastic film,spot waxing and many other applications. The available durometer are 40 to 80 shore A
Polyuthrane
Outstanding strength resilience abrasion qualities with good exposure and oil resistance. Less satisfactory for heat, hot water and acid resistance. Available durometre 30 to 95 shore A.
